The BGSU Mock Trial team, along with 700 other Intercollegiate Mock Trial teams began practicing last September in preparation for the Regionals Competition in February.  

We just returned from our Regional at the University of Notre Dame.  Our Regional contains most of the teams from Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, with an occasional Illinois team included some years.

At the Regional competition, we defeated the 2009 National Champion Mock Trial team, and defeated them soundly.  In addition, the Regional Tournament gave special awards to 22 students, half to witnesses and half to attorneys.  Out of all the teams in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana that were there, BG’s team received 7 of the awards, an unheard of proportion.

We did so well at Regionals we will be participating in the National Championships Competition in Chicago later this month.

A Gift of $80 will provide for transportation costs of one student to the National Competition.

A Gift of $30 will provide one night lodging for one student at the National Competition.
