A message from Arthritis Foundation, Mid Atlantic Region:

In conjunction with the Arthritis Foundation's chief annual fundraiser -- the Arthritis Walk on the National Mall -- I have set a personal goal of trying to raise $1,000 from family and friends.

In addition to millions of adults, 300,000 children are living with juvenile arthritis, which causes constant pain and limited movement.  The Arthritis Foundation's goals include passing legislation to change the way health care companies view Arthritis coverage (currently, Arthritis is so under-reimbursed that many doctors can't earn a living treating it and thus don't enter the field) and researching treatments and cures.

92 cents of every dollar raised through this effort will directly fund local research and programs, and all contributions are tax-deductible.  Please contribute $25 or whatever you can afford!
