A message from WTMD: Radio for Music People:

WTMD is a Listener Supported National Public Radio (NPR) Affiliate Station.

Although many Maryland stations support local musicians, WTMD creates a radio community in which local music thrives. WTMD is truly the best radio station in Maryland. 

In today's radio world, there are not many opportunities for a musician, like myself, to receive air play without major label affiliations. Every time WTMD plays local music, they take a risk. They need our financial support as they continue to support and recognize local music. As I can attest, the station has contributed significantly to the success of local musicians.

WTMD was the first station to begin playing my new self titled EP. Within the course of a few short weeks, my songs were playing multiple times a week, granting me with a new following of listeners. Soon my local shows were frequented by WTMD listeners, who discovered my music on segments like Baltimore Unsigned.

In order for local music to survive and thrive, listeners need to directly support the station. 

Music at WTMD is a community effort. Local musicians, and listeners are all responsible for ensuring that it continues. WTMD is supported by its listeners. There are no commercials to interrupt the music. Nearly 75% of the funds it takes to keep the music playing comes from listeners like you and me. Please join me in supporting Radio for Music People.
