In these economic times we all need a little help from our friends, and the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra is no exception.  The Sacramento Philharmonic is the professional symphonic orchestra for the Sacramento region.  As a leading performing arts organization, the orchestra contracts the services of 83 professional musicians and partners with the Sacramento Opera, the Sacramento Ballet and other arts groups to help keep live music alive in our region and business interests and the arts in our city healthy and vital. 

Our mission is to inspire audiences, enrich Sacramento through excellent performances of great orchestral music and to touch the lives of people through our music in various ways including community partnerships.  We take pride in our community work which includes music education programs that reach students in underserved areas where music education programs would otherwise be non-existent, and most recently, in hospitals where our musicians play for patients, reducing pain and improving their quality of life.
