$25.00The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) has played a significant role in my life. As the founding president of the first chapter at The George Washington University, where NSCS was started in 1994, I was able to help get this honors society off the ground. Following my graduation from GW, I was asked to serve on the NSCS Board of Directors and did so for nine years, helping shape the Society and its direction. But I feel my involvement in NSCS has served me so much more as first a student, then a young adult just beginning, and now a seasoned professional.
I am very proud of how far NSCS has come since that day—April 30, 1994—when I joined a group of nearly 120 high-achieving GW undergrads to be inducted into NSCS. There are now NSCS chapters on more than 250 campuses in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
As when I was a student, scholarships are a very important part of NSCS and the Society now gives more scholarship dollars than any other undergraduate honors society—over $250,000. We are trying to double this number. As a former chapter officer, I’m asking for your help in this challenge.
We have launched a viral fundraising campaign. I’ve set up a page to help raise funds for the NSCS scholarship fund at www.alumnifidelity.com/sarahkeller.html. Take a look at it and donate what you can--$10, $25—whatever you are able to contribute. Even better than donating on my page, I encourage you to go to www.alumnifidelity.com and set up your own page on behalf of NSCS and send it out to your friends and family. If we can get 1000 people to create pages on the AlumniFidelity site and raise just $250 each, we can double the NSCS scholarship fund! These scholarship funds help NSCS members afford tuition, study abroad programs, books, graduate school and other expenses -- all things that were critical to my collegiate and future success.
Please support NSCS by creating your own page or making a donation on my page of $10 or $20 or whatever you can contribute. Help make a difference—just as you did as a chapter officer.
Go to www.alumnifidelity.com and get a start on making scholarships happen for the best and brightest!
Thank you so much,
