Welcome to the Construction Site of Fundraising Best Practices

Like a lever, AlumniFidelity is a force multiplier that enables development officers to achieve vastly greater results than they could on their own. Our platform lets development offices transcend the barriers of resources and staff time. Here is where come from, what we do, and how we'd like to get you along for the pioneering ride.

Similar to (and different from) political fundraising

AlumniFidelity delivers a peer-to-peer fundraising platform in the same software family as the tools that helped shatter political fundraising records. Clearly, though, there are critical differences between political fundraising and university development, and our specialized software, combined with the elite implementation strategies that our site data continues to reveal, gives university developers the stuff they need to meet the precise challenges they face.

What development officers don't have

University development offices don't have contact information for every one of their alumni. They don't have personal relationships with all of the alumni whose contact information they do have, they don't have unlimited resources and unlimited staff time, and they don't have unlimited good will from alumni volunteers. Even the dyed-in-the-wool alumni have only so much time to give.

What development officers do have

What university development offices do have, though, is strong relationships with a small core of alumni.  These passionate, leading alumni have been willing to do a reasonable amount of volunteer work for their alma mater, and these alumni do have personal relationships with their fellow classmates.  Universities do have a generally positive sentiment from a great many of their alumni, who would contribute financially to their alma mater if asked in the right way, by the right person, at the right time, with technology to make the gift process easy.

Take what you have, apply our leverage, lift the world

With AlumniFidelity's zero-install software, university development offices invite a small core of very supportive alumni to create personal fundraising pages based on pre-customized templates.  This core group of alumni then uses those pages to encourage fellow classmates to contribute.  AlumniFidelity client schools have a broad and flexible toolkit to customize their fundraising page templates, manage page content, and own the data.  The alumni fundraisers have quick and powerful tools to promote their pages through email, any social network, and other means.

Archimedes once said, "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world."  AlumniFidelity's software translates the effort force of a small group of alumni into an output with no clear upper limit.  Our client universities are in the business of trying to move the world, and we give them the best tools possible.

David Andrukonis, CEO, Founder

Prior to co-founding AlumniFidelity, David was responsible for new business development for American Federal Savings Bank in Washington, D.C.  David studied business administration and political science at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and graduated in 2005.  While in school, David was employed by Capital One to architect an interactive software program to train all company employees, and he led an educational start-up venture in Arlington, VA and Wake County, NC.

Will Marlow, COO, Founder

Will comes from Capitol Hill, where he served as the Director of Online Communication and Press Secretary for two members of Congress.  The inspiration for AlumniFidelity came from Will's work on Capitol Hill.  Will and David teamed up during the summer of 2007 to create a company that would help universities and schools benefit from the same online fundraising tools that were revolutionizing the political fundraising process.  Will graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2005.

Jim Warren, Founding Advisor

Jim served as President of the Duke Alumni Association from 1994-95 and as a member of the Duke Board of Trustees from 1995-96.
